NERF 2009

Greetings Friends,

We wanted to share with you news of a recent herf that took place in Massachusetts last Saturday. The social cigar-smoking event is called NERF (New England Herf) and this was the 8th time they held their annual forum. Devil's Weed and our local ambassador, Karl Renneker (univibe88 on many forums), were able to represent us in this event (which also raises money for charity). Karl gave out our limited blend, the LP-1803s, and raffled off some DW "crown" shirts. Click here to check out the photo gallery or scroll below to look at some sample photos.

Chuck Berry (rockridge on the forums scene) organizes this event and he wrote this email to us explaining the success of the event:

Dear NERF 2009 Supporters:

Thank you. New England Herf [NERF] 2009 was the best ever!Saturday, March 7th, the event crew squeezed in yet another 100+ capacity crowd into Churchill's Lounge in Boston and thanks to your support, we brought New England's cigar faithful the latest and best of the cigar world once again.

This year (our 8th), NERF guests represented 19 different online cigar boards! The most boards ever! NERF 2009 event photos are already posted on many of these boards, but we have collected a few of our favorites for you to enjoy:

Jack Williams on left, whose charity Wednesday's Child, received proceeds from the event.

Also, CBS-TV 4 veteran news anchor Jack Williams joined the crowd. NERF 2009 raised more than $2,300.00 for Wednesday's Child, which finds adoptive homes for special needs children.
