The Great American Backyard Tabaco Experiment, Day 10

Day 8 shows the first signs of germination

Greetings Friends,

it has been a treat to watch the process of life unfold before our very eyes especially when the subject is a tabaco plant. The first few steps of germination and sprouting have already begun by Day 10 of our project, the Great American Backyard Tabaco Experiment. It is amazing how the handmade cigar starts as an infinitely tiny object: a tabaco seed (which is no larger than the head of a pin). Even the sprouts are delicate and small requiring that the gardener keep a constant vigil in order to protect the plants from the harsh elements. Anyway, we wanted to post some pictures of the progress of our experiment and to show you how simple it is to grow your own tabaco. Come back for more updates!

Day 8. The strongest plant at this point already has its 1st 2 leaves. Can you see it?

Day 10. The 2 highlighted areas show the most growth right now.
Day 10. Notice the amount of sprouts and growth just seen in 2 days!
Saludos,
Luis
